Gistex provides a full-bodied and savoury flavour profile without adding specific aromatic nuances.
In addition to contributing to the flavour base, Gistex is a natural source of glutamic acid (3-9%) and contains a high proportion of free amino acids and vitamin B.
Varying the free glutamic acid content results in different Gistex products, each of which impresses with its individual bouillon flavour, umami intensity, and versatile uses in foods and flavours.
